Minor Surgery
At Levitas Clinic we are able to offer treatment for a variety of different skin conditions using our state of the art equipment.
Electrosurgery is one option we offer. It provides patients who are experiencing troublesome skin conditions with pleasing cosmetic results. THE HYFRECATOR acts like an electronic beam which specifically targets problem areas and works well for a wide range of skin conditions.
Seborrheic Keratoses
Seborrheic Keratoses are treated particularly well with electrosurgery. These are dark, scaly marks which tend to develop as we age, making them one of the most common cosmetic concerns amongst most adults. Other skin concerns that are well treated with electrosurgery include:
- Warts
- Molluscum Contagiosum – Viral lesions which are swiftly treated using electrosurgery
- Acrochordon – Skin tags which can be irritating if in awkward places
- Capillary Angiomas – small red blood vessels or spots
- Actinic Keratoses – precancerous areas often occurring on the scalp or the forehead. Electrosurgery is a good option for treatment due to where they appear, as it achieves a good cosmetic result.
Where appropriate, The Mews also offer traditional minor surgery for lumps and bumps in purpose built minor operation suites.
